For its 7th Straight Year, Borden Waste-Away Group Donates All Proceeds Raised to Goshen Hospital’s Cancer Research Fund by Matching Customer Donations Dollar for Dollar,

ELKHART, IN (October 8, 2018) --- As Breast Cancer Awareness month is well underway, Borden Waste-Away Group met with Goshen Health Foundation to present fundraising proceeds for cancer research that is more far-reaching than breast cancer alone.

Borden Waste-Away Excited to Renew and Expand Relationship With City of Goshen.


Elkhart, IN – January 18, 2018.

Beginning February 1, 2018, Borden Waste-Away Service, Inc. will begin collecting residential trash for the City of Goshen, fulfilling their newly awarded contract.

Borden was originally based in Goshen before being acquired by Elkhart-based Waste-Away Group in 1974. Borden Waste-Away President, Chris Himes, relates, “We’re happy to be a part of the City of Goshen again where Borden initially had its roots. We’re looking forward to strengthening our current connection and relationship with its residents.”

Borden Waste-Away and its Customers Donate Check For Cancer Research For Sixth Straight Year.

Matching Customers’ Donations Dollar for Dollar, Borden Waste-Away Service, Inc. Donates Entire Amount to Goshen Hospital’s Cancer Research Fund.

ELKHART (July 25, 2017) --- In 2011 Elkhart-based Borden Waste-Away pioneered an exclusive program where interested customers could add $1.00 to their monthly bill as a donation for cancer research. Each year Borden matches these donations dollar for dollar and the entire amount is donated to Goshen Hospital to support forty-five active clinical trials, spanning breast, lung, colorectal, lymphoma, esophageal, head & neck, prostate, melanoma, multiple myeloma, pancreatic, and other cancers. Other programs include pre-clinical studies for early detection, cancer vaccinations and improved radiation oncology verification systems, as well as The Tissue Bank.

Borden Presents Check To Fund Preclinical Trials and Cancer Research

Goshen, IN July 14, 2016 – Borden Waste-Away Service, Inc. and IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care celebrated their 5-year partnership today with a ceremony and a check presentation. The check, totaling almost $25,000, signifies the fifth year of donations from Borden and its customers.
